We believe...

 

In the physical, bodily return of Jesus Christ to rule the earth from Jerusalem (Matthew 24:30-31, Isaiah 2:2-4). 

  • His return will be sudden and violent, falling at the completion of the seventieth week of Daniel (Daniel 9:27, Zechariah 14:4, 12-13, 15).

  • The duration of His earthly reign will be 1,000 years (Revelation 20:2-7). 

  • The curse given after the fall of man (Genesis 3:17-19) will be rescinded almost completely; Lifespans will return to their pre-flood longevity (Isaiah 65:20); 

  • There will be universal, worldwide peace (Isaiah 2:4), material prosperity (Amos 9:13), and righteousness (Isaiah 2:3-4); 

  • Crime will not be tolerated (Psalm 2:9);

  • The resurrected Bride of Christ, the Church, will rule with Him under His delegated authority (Revelation 3:21, Luke 19:12-26). 

 

This excludes the teachings of amillenialism, postmillenialism, premillennial covenantalism, progressive dispensationalism, and preterism, which all must to some extent spiritualize the scriptural text.
