Welcome to Spiritual Life Part 1!

John 10:10 tells us that our salvation is not only for the purpose of having life, but that we might have it more abundantly too. The Spiritual Life class is aimed at systematically and simply presenting the basis and process by which the believer can live by means of the spirit.

As a discipleship-oriented class, this is not about how to become saved—though we certainly will discuss the mechanism by which God has provided salvation, and the means by which you received it!—but this class is primarily meant to train the believer for fruitful life once salvation has been appropriated. Each class session will focus on a different aspect of salvation, presented in a logical order. The sessions will deal with primary biblical texts, but we will also use the book I’m Saved, Now What? by Dennis Rokser, our Fall 2023 Conference keynote speaker. This book will help prepare you to get the most out of each session. As in all things, you will get out of the class what you put into it.

The classes will be held regularly at 6:00 on Tuesday evenings through the summer, except for July 4th. This class will be recorded. The goal of this class is to prepare us for the Fall Conference which will go deeper into many of the topics which we will study in summary form over the summer. The Fall conference will be September 15th–17th.

I encourage you all to come, and to invite others to come. Our Life of Messiah class last year was attended by many who do not come to our church, and some of them stayed and have become a part of our fellowship! Even if you cannot attend, please keep this class in your prayers that it might minister to those who hear it, that they might grow in respect to their salvation, and that we as a church might grow in our fellowship with one another and with Jesus, our blessed Savior!

After registering, you will be redirected to another page on our website where you can order I’m Saved! Now What? by Dennis Rokser. This book will include weekly homework to get you thinking about the material ahead of time. The class itself will not re-teach the material in the book, but rather will go deeper, laying a scriptural foundation for these important spiritual truths. If you already received I’m Saved! Now What? at Tacoma Grace, you do not need to order another.
